 Overview

Arthur’s practice is focused on commercial litigation, with an emphasis on complex commercial leasing disputes and enforcement proceedings.

Arthur is a fearless litigator who prides himself on his meticulous attention to detail and ability to simplify complex legal issues. Arthur is committed to delivering cost-effective and timely results. He has extensive experience advising both institutional and individual clients across various areas, including commercial litigation, retail bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings, medical negligence, insurance litigation, construction law, and real property litigation.

Arthur advises and litigates on behalf of commercial landlords and tenants in all matters arising out of leasing contracts including the interpretation and enforceability of leases, termination and repudiation of leases, maintenance and repair obligations, operating cost/realty tax disputes, distress procedures, and environmental issues.

Arthur regularly appears before the Commercial List in Toronto and has appeared before many levels of judicial and administrative decision-makers in Ontario, including the Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court, and the Court of Appeal.
