 Overview

Irvin is an experienced litigator, mediator and arbitrator. He represents clients in a vast number of areas, including: shareholders' rights and remedies, applications for injunctive relief, wrongful dismissal, defamation, corporate and commercial disputes, real property litigation including commercial development disputes and commercial leasing disputes, and solicitors' negligence and professional malpractice claims.

Irvin has substantial experience with litigation for international clients. He routinely handles numerous matters for companies based in the United States and the United Kingdom.

Irvin is a former member of the Board of Directors of a global affiliation of law firms, and he formerly served as the chair of its North American litigation section.

Irvin is also a frequent author and lecturer on litigation practice-related matters.

Irvin earned his LLM in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2014. He has substantial experience in arbitration and mediation proceedings and is listed as an arbitrator by the Canadian Commercial Arbitration Centre based in Montreal, QC.
